 I know it isn’t because my Malamute was fed Royal Canin when he was younger and he suffered terribly from allergies.  I didn’t leave him on the food long either.  He’s now eating Timberwolf which is grain-free and low allergen – no trouble at all.

Do Alaskan malamutes have sensitive stomachs?

My Alaskan Malamute is a nervous eater and doesn’t like to eat if he can see or hear us.  If we sit with him while he eats, he will usually wolf his food faster than if we leave the room.  We keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn’t bury any of it in his bedding.  

It can be a pain trying to get him to eat, but we make sure he gets a multivitamin every day and a fatty acid supplement once a week.
