Best Dog Food for SchnoodlesBest Dog Food for Schnoodles

Schnoodles are a cross between a Miniature Schnauzer and either a Poodle, Cocker Spaniel, or Bichon. They can be any color and they’re wonderful dogs that do great in homes with and without other pets. Since they haven’t been around for long it’s hard to say what the best dog food for this breed would be but we can provide you with some options so you can decide which is best for your dog!

·          Royal Canin Miniature Schnauzer Puppy food

This is a great option for your puppy if it’s still in that stage of development. It has all the nutrients they need to grow into big, healthy dogs. It contains DHA which helps with brain and eye development and omega 3 fatty acids to strengthen their muscles.

It also has phosphorous which is good for their bones so you won’t have to worry about hip problems later on down the road. The only downside is that it doesn’t contain any prebiotics so if your dog already eats high-quality food this may be too simple for them. If they are very young though it would work!

·          Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diets

This is another good option if your dog has already eaten high-quality food for a while. It’s very simple and not over complicated with all kinds of stuff that could potentially cause allergies. It contains just three ingredients which are green peas, potatoes, and duck meal. It also contains glucosamine and chondroitin which is great for cartilage health! The protein content does seem somewhat low at 18% so you might want to consider this as well. If your dog has been eating the same food as you for a long time though it should be fine!

·          Orijen Puppy

Now this one comes from the makers of Acana which were listed as number 3 on our best dog food for French Bulldogs list. It’s made with 80% meat and 20% fruit, vegetables, and herbs! It contains omega 6 and 3 fatty acids as well as prebiotics. The protein content is a bit high at 38% so you might want to talk to your vet about it first just to be safe!

·          Blue Buffalo Freedom Grain Free Puppy for Small Breeds

Another puppy formula that has no corn or wheat or soy which can be the cause of allergies and an upset stomach. It contains glucosamine and chondroitin as well as DHA to help with brain development! It also has good vegetable content at 8%.

The only real downfall we see is the protein content at 29%, but it’s high enough to slow down your puppy’s growth and not give them any problems. As you can see there are plenty of options out there when looking for the best dog food for Schnoodles!

If you have a full-grown Schnoodle then this process will be much easier, but if they’re still in that awkward stage between puppy and adult it might be a little extra work trying to find out what is the best food for your dog at their current age and weight.

We will provide some good options though that we know work well with all different stages of development. Always remember that these foods were chosen because they contain no corn, wheat, or soy which tend to upset small dogs’ stomachs and they all have glucosamine and chondroitin for great bone health later in life!

·          Merrick Grain-Free Puppy Plate

This is a great option, especially if your dog has already been introduced to good food because it’s very simple. It contains lamb meal which is a great source of protein and it also contains peas, sweet potatoes, carrots, and blueberries so you know your dog will get all the vitamins and antioxidants they need from this option!

The downside is that there isn’t any glucosamine or chondroitin added but if your dog already eats high quality then this should be fine. This one would be best for adult dogs though since there isn’t a lot of fruit content and high protein can be hard on a small dog’s stomach!
